Hydraulic Excavators are a widely versatile machine. Also known as Trackhoes and Diggers, they are used in the general construction, heavy construction, quarry and mining industries. The excavator is capable of mass excavation work, including digging, trenching, demolition and forestry applications.
In the program, learners will focus on safe and effective operation of medium-sized tracked Hydraulic Excavators, while applying correct operational techniques recommended by industry experts. Training exercises include travel control, truck loading, backfilling, loading the machine on a low-boy trailer and more. Learners will practice in the virtual environment and should repeat exercises until mastered. Corresponding materials are presented along with each exercise, including a selection of quizzes. Throughout the material, learners can build on knowledge and skills from previous lessons and exercises.
Simformotion™ is the licensee for Cat® Simulators for Caterpillar Inc. During the development of Cat Simulators, the Simformotion team worked closely with subject-matter experts to develop each exercise using the same techniques as found on real-world jobsites. Our curriculum works in tandem with simulation training to create a full educational experience for the learner. Throughout the material you will see images taken directly from the Cat Simulators simulation software. The images are used to help illustrate lessons and techniques.
